OOPs..disregard that last post. I hit the wrong button.
Miss America was Awesome. I was able to spend a lot of time watching preliminaries. All the girls work so hard. My mom and I were tired just from watching each night and then sight seeing. I know that Paulie had to be tired...but she never showed it. She was fantastic! It was so much fun to see all my friends at the Miss America pageant. I am just rambling right now because there is so much to say... I loved all the food that I was able to eat while we were there. My mom always got her coffee and I would get a breakfast treat: cinnamon roll, crepes, pancakes, etc.... The DSW shoe parade was so much fun.. The girls looked like they were having a lot of fun, and the day was gorgeous. One day my mom and I say by the pool. My mom forgot to pull up her yoga pants so she had a tan line on her calves. It looked really silly. Overall... I am so proud of Paulie and so lucky to have seen Miss America Live. Oh yeah...being on TV was really NEAT!
I have added another activity to my list. I am the understudy for Sandy in the musical Grease, and I have a small seperate part as well. I will get to play Sandy if the real Sandy gets sick AND when we perform for the elementary schools. I am very nervous about that!
Over this past weekend I helped make hundreds of Valentine's Day cards for the soldiers overseas and for the VA hospital. Along with the cards being shipped overseas to the soldiers we also collected candy to be mailed. The soldiers like having candy that they can pass out to the children. I wish I could give the candy to the kids and a card to a soldier. Either way... I know that I am helping make a difference.
Until next time...
Make a difference!

New Year, new ideas....big differences~!
I am sorry that it has been so long since I have blogged. I am a REALLY busy girl. If you have me as a friend on facebook you will see that I like to hang out with my friends as much as possible. But, I just wish the facebook would talk about everything else that I do...
First of all..... ONE WEEK TO VEGAS~ ONE WEEK TO VEGAS! GOOD LUCK PAULI!
Updates: I have now committed (I think) to one community project: Tree of Knoiwledge. I work with a wonderful woman, Marlene Graves. She likes to include me all sorts of planning that goes on in the organization. I like this partnersip because they are closely tied with the FLICKINGER CENTER... That center is where I do A LOT of my volunteering. Let me try and explain.. The Tree of Knowledge believes that books can make a difference and so do I. So when I help the Treee of Knowledge gather, collect, buy books a lot of those books go directly to the FLICKINGER Center (after school program). So I believe I have settled in.
BUT...that does not mean that I am not out working hard doing great things for other organizations. I recently sent in my Yoplait: Save a lid to SAve a life. I sent in 110 lids.
I also sent goods to the soldiers overseas through the group that I am in at the American legion. We also gave goods to the Women's Domestic Abuse shelter. Every little bit helps. I am waiting to get up to the Ronald mcDonald House in Iowa City and turn in all these pop tabs... I have a lot!
I continue to make a difference and I hope you do too..
